Creative Work
Writing stories that invite exploration.
In addition to my academic and professional work, I write fiction. Creative writing allows me to explore history, identity, relationships, and unusual worlds through character-driven storytelling.
Original Fiction
Gorlock
The Human Companion Manual is an original work of fiction by Lindsay Klug. The first chapter is presented here as a sample of my creative writing.
Gorlock is an alien in retirement, and he's looking for a new hobby. When he adopts a human to raise, he does not expect what she brings to his life. This story explores the challenges of interspecies adoption, the joys of companionship, and the unexpected ways that love can change us.
